On National Art Making Month:
Remember that the idea is to create 31 different pieces of art, not one big thing spread over 31 days. And that you're supposed to create one thing every day, rather than making lots in advance and posting them one at a time. (And remember that actually what you do is up to you and I don't really believe in enforcing rules very much at all. Once we get started we'll all be far too worried about where on earth we'll get an idea for tomorrow to worry about anything too much.)

On National Art Making Month:
You do not have to be good at art! Not being good at art does not mean you shouldn't do it anyway. That's basically the whole thing. And although it's a bit scary how much better you get at art when you do it every day for thirty days there is absolutely *no* pressure to improve. You don't have to do this with any ambition at all. On the other hand if you are quite or very good at art, you are still more than welcome. We have quite a range of people and skills going on; people who have done arty things all their life and people who very much haven't. It's fun. Sort of. I find it hard to remember it is fun before it starts because I spend most of this next week not being able to think of ANYTHING to draw. But eventually it is fun. I am nearly positively sure.
